[Floor Plan Art] Display your ideal floor plan in your room

A one-story house with a dog run

When I imagine a floor plan, I always envision a life with my loved ones and my beloved dog.

I love "slicing" things, and for my first-grade science project, titled "Sliced Vegetables," I
sliced vegetables and fruits from the kitchen and sketched their cross-sections and seeds in a Maruman sketchbook.

My favorite "slice" of all is architecture.

Among those, I particularly love floor plans, and when I see a nice room in an anime or overseas drama,
I imagine the layout, get excited, sketch it in Illustrator, and turn it into goods like calendars to enjoy.
I even find myself observing "this layout is amazing" while playing Resident Evil.

Eventually, my desire for floor plans shifted from the luxurious layouts seen in overseas dramas to imagining my own ideal floor plans.
I feel this is because my life changed through my teens, twenties, and thirties, and my perception of important people and things, how I spend my time, and how I view things changed.

And this is my current ideal floor plan.

"A one-story house with a dog run"

A convenient flow that allows immediate access to the storage room from the entrance and kitchen.
It would be wonderful to see my dog playing in the courtyard from the veranda while taking a bath!
The importance of a study where I can work from home, and a Japanese-style room.

The garden is designed as a dog run, and there's a greenhouse at the back of the garden. My desire to live in a house with a greenhouse began more than 10 years ago, influenced by the 1990 American film "Green Card."

"Horticulturist Brontë wanted to live in an affordable apartment with a greenhouse, but the apartment was not available to single people.
Meanwhile, Georges, an artist from France, needed an American wife to obtain a long-term foreign residency permit (Green Card)."

The apartment with the greenhouse in the movie had a truly wonderful layout, allowing the greenhouse to be observed from the kitchen.
I searched rental and condominium listing sites to see if such an apartment existed, but there were none in Japan.

Some people might think it's thoughtless to get married just to live in an ideal apartment,
but as someone who loves floor plans, I can somewhat understand that feeling.

If you display your ideal floor plan in your room, you can always imagine your ideal life.
